"Their ethical lessons have assuredly prepared the way for the Christian religion." ~James Bonwick

Leaders and Archdruids

"Oral Tradition was ancient, guarded and cultivated by a highly privileged class." ~Nora Chadwick

CONSECRATION

Organizational Leadership

Leadership positions are decided by the Chief Druid to maintain formation and structure. Priests interested must express intent in writing to the Chief Druid, stating the role. Eligible Archdruids assist the Chief in leading the Druid Order and are consecrated by him, and remain active and in good standing.

“You won't be good teachers focusing only on what you do and not upon who you are.” ~Rudolf Steiner

Reporting and Permission

The Chain of Command

(8) Eight "orders" per step must be completed to advance to the next step. Move at your pace; you can't advance until completing your current order. The Chief is always accessible, but your assigned superior handles questions, permissions, and official business. An immediate superior completed the step ahead of you.

"what we imagine is real in its own way, and it can be powerful." ~John Michael Greer

Excellence and Right Action

Active and in Good Standing

Participants complete tasks promptly and represent our order mindfully which is Excellence. Exceptional character; impeccable decorum and lawful behavior are paramount. Reported misconduct or legal infractions result in review and potential defrocking. Upholding these standards reflects Right Action.

"We discover ourselves through others." ~Carl Jung

Identification

The Visible Signs

Our druids wear appropriate gendered clerical gear as ritual wear. On the Lorigan, a left collared pin is their national symbol, but as an honorably discharged veteran, it is their branch pin. Right collar pins indicate their class (gold, silver, black) or degree (Tribe of Dan) pins. The more pins the higher the rank.

"If we pay no attention to it, time does not exist." ~Mircea Eliade

Informal Dress

The Boline

Talismans hold deep personal meaning. One sacramental is called a boline, or as Isaac Bonewits put it, a mark of a Druid. We wear a small, curved sickle, which symbolizes our connection to Earth Mother, when in our civilians. Use the discount code DRUID10 for 10% off. OCAB Druids can wear this as an outward sign.

"Myths are public dreams, dreams are private myths." ~Joseph Campbell

The Druid Code

Holding a Special Place

Thomas Sheridan, author of "The Druid Code," says magic and mythology were early social psychoanalysis for druids. He details how Occult Theory and Magic Practice influenced Myth and Reality using sacred site folklore to reveal ancient human consciousness and druids' historical role. We are inspired by him.

"...a misunderstanding recently is that the ancient Druids were merely Shamans." ~Thomas Sheridan
