Once you have been initiated, you are now officially part of our Druid Order and begin learning our Rituals as Deacon and Rites, as Priest. To have been initiated you have completed the Laical Office of Postulant, to Aspirant, and Initiate and levels from a 5th Class Druid to a 1st Class Druid. .
After the Discernment Program, levels go from lower to higher and are called Degrees (ie. 1st Degree, 2nd Degree, 3rd Degree, 4th Degree.) During this time you first act in the person of Deacon, where you are dedicated, or you act in the person of Priest, where you are ordained.
After Initiation, you still receive your Orders, and those Orders continue to be sent octannually. As mentioned before, you receive them (8) Eight times per year moving at a good pace. If you only complete, say, (1) Order a year, you'll move slower through the clerical ranks. After Initiation, there are (5) Degrees.
An Office consists of distinct levels. Before Initiation, known as Classes, arranged from higher to lower. After Initiation, they become Degrees, progressing from lower to higher. Offices after Initiation, includes (4) Four Degrees in this progression: Noviciate, Competent, Proficient, Practicant, Officiant.
All Offices before a Druid's Initiation into our Order are called Laical Ranks because they are part of the Laity Path. The Vocational Path on the other hand, also has ranking. These Ranks are called the Clerical Ranks. There are two Clerical Ranks. These two ranks are Deacon and Priest.
Deacons move from 1st to 2nd Degree. Their sole Office is The Novitiate (First Degree Druid). The Vocation Path is for Acolytes seeking full dedication in OCAB. Within (4) four years they learn and celebrate our (5) Five Rituals. They deepen their understanding of Theory and Practice mastering the Rites of Benediction.
The Priesthood happens after the Deaconate. This is your vocation and life as a Druid Priest. There are Four Offices, each having (4) four degrees. The First Office is the Competent. The Second is the Proficient. The Third is the Practicant. The Fourth is the Officiant. The priest masters the Rites of Anointing.
